
Today, on November 6, the ceremony took place to appoint Dr. Dominika Sieczkowska-Jacyna and Dr. Dagmara Socha of the Center for Andean Studies of the University of Warsaw as Honorary Professors of the Catholic University of Santa María in Arequipa (Peru).
In the same ceremony, the appointment of the Honoris Causa Doctor to Dr. Johan Reinhard, the outstanding researcher and discoverer of the Maid of Ampato, took place.
The ceremony took place in the William Morris Christy Auditorium of the UCSM and began with the reading of the academic and professional career of the Honorary Professors, by Dr. Gonzalo Dávila del Carpo, Director of Research of the Vice-Rectorate of Research of the UCSM . After the ceremony of awarding the medal and presenting the institutional diploma to the doctors, words of gratitude for the appointment received were presented by Dr. Dagmara Socha and Dr. Dominika Sieczkowska-Jacyna.
The reading of the academic and professional career of the Honoris Causa Doctor Dr. Johan Reinhard was given by Dr. Máximo Rondón Rondón, Vice-Rector for Research at UCSM. Then took place the ceremony of awarding the medal and presenting the institutional diploma to the honoree and words of gratitude for the appointment received, by Dr. Johan Reinhard (Doctor Honoris Causa).
The ceremony was closed by an institutional greeting and congratulations, by Dr. Manuel Alberto Briceño Ortega, Rector of the UCSM.
Also present at the ceremony were Vice-Rectors of the UCSM: Academic Vice-Rector Dr. Jorge Luis Cáceres Arce, Administrative Vice-Rector Dr. César Cáceres Zárate, Deans of the Faculties of the UCSM, Coordinator of the UCSM Museums Dr Franz Grupp, the Honorary Consul of Poland in Arequipa Mr Vladimir Soto Leon Velarde, the Honorary Consul of Romania Mr Juan Luis Davila Fernan-Zegarra and the Santa Maria community.
