
Machu Picchu Project
The project is the result of a cooperation between the Center for Pre-Columbian Studies of the University of Warsaw and the Center for Andean Studies of the University of Warsaw in Cusco, with the Disconcerted Directorate of Culture of Cusco (former National Institute of Culture-Cusco), and especially with the National Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu and its Directorate.

Condesuyos Project
In 1996 the Center for Pre-Columbian Studies of the University of Warsaw signed a scientific collaboration agreement with the Catholic University of Santa María in Arequipa, initiating the project called Condesuyos. Its principal goal is to elaborate a map of archaeological sites in the area of Coropuna, Solimana and Firura volcanoes (Condesuyos and Castilla provinces, Arequipa Department), along with understanding the character of both the Inca and pre-Inca settlements of the region.

Antaras Nasqueñas
Antaras Nasqueñas was one of the projects carried out by Polish researchers within the collaboration agreement between the Center for Precolombian Studies of the University of Warsaw and the Nasca Project of the Italian Studi Center and Ricerche Archeologiche Precolombiane (Brescia, Italy). The purpose of the project was to examine the collection of antaras, discovered at the archaeological site of Cahuachi during the XNUMX and XNUMX seasons. The Cahuachi collection constitutes one the most valuable archaeological collections of musical instruments worldwide.

Maucallacta Archaeological Sub-project
The archaeological site of Maucallacta (District of Pampacolca, Province of Castilla, Department of Arequipa) has been investigated by our Center since XNUMX, initially as part of the Condesuyos Project. In XNUMX, the Maucallacta sub-project was initiated to focus on exploration and restoration of the site with the purpose of enhancing the scientific and touristic value of this important ceremonial-administrative center.

Project capacocha
Multidisciplinary research project on the offerings related to the ritual of Capacocha carried out thanks to the collaboration between the Center for Andean Studies and the Catholic University of Santa María de Arequipa. The project includes bioarchaeological research, laboratory analysis and three-dimensional documentation of the artifacts preserved in the Museum of Andean Sanctuaries (MUSA) in Arequipa.

Muyu Muyu Project
Muyu Muyu is a high mountain Andean site located at approximately 3000 masl in the District of Chichas, Arequipa Region (Peru).
The ongoing Muyu Muyu project, carried out in collaboration with the Catholic University of Santa María (UCSM) in Arequipa, currently includes fieldwork in the 2022-2023 seasons, as well as laboratory analysis.
