The Center for Andean Studies of the University of Warsaw in Cusco (Centro de Estudios Andinos de la Universidad de Varsovia en el Cusco, or CEAC) is a scientific research entity created on the basis of the collaboration agreement signed between the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (Peru) and the University of Warsaw (Poland).

“Doctor Maria Rostworowski de Diez Canseco” Scholarship

Research scholarship in Inca studies, for master's and doctorate, awarded by the Center for Andean Studies of the University of Warsaw (CEAC) thanks to funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Studies of Poland.

Outstanding Peruvian researcher, with a Polish father and a Puno mother. His contributions to Peruvian historiography and history through his research are multiple, in particular his studies on the Inca culture stand out, published in such well-known studies as “Pachacútec Inca Yupanqui” (1953), “Pre-Hispanic Peruvian Coast” (1977), “ Renewable natural resources and fishing in Peru, 1981th and 1983th centuries” (1988), “Andean Structures of Power. Religious and political ideology” (1534), “History of Tahuantinsuyu” (1598), “Doña Francisca Pizarro: an illustrious mestiza (1994-XNUMX)” (XNUMX) and several others, translated into several languages.

Our projects

Database C14

The C14 database was created as a result of years of research by a Polish team on the chronology of the Andean region. The current goal of the database is to combine all the results of the radiocarbon analyzes for South America and present them in one place.

Machu Picchu

The project is the result of a cooperation between the Center for Andean Studies of the University of Warsaw in Cusco, with the Disconcerted Directorate of Culture of Cusco, and especially with the National Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu and its Directorate.

Peru

The center coordinates a number of projects in Peru in all ecological zones that are characterized by considerable diversity. The projects are realized in cooperation with local Peruvian collaborators.
